How it works

Four steps, and the day tracks itself

NexMeal does the estimating and the maths. You just eat and point your camera.

1

Get your plan

Calorie and macro targets built around your body, activity, goal weight and timeline.

2

Log the meal

Photograph it, pick an existing photo, say it out loud, or type it — whatever's quickest.

3

Check the fit

See calories, protein, carbs, fat and fibre, plus a score out of 10 for how it fits your day.

4

Get coached

Your AI coach reads the day so far and tells you what to eat next to stay on track.

The AI coach

Advice that knows your day.

Most trackers hand you a number and leave. NexMeal's coach has already read your meals, your activity, your weight trend and your goals — so the advice actually applies to you.

  • What to eat next. Ask, and it recommends a meal that closes the gap you're actually short on.
  • Eating out? It'll help you pick the best option off a menu.
  • Progress stalled? It explains why, and can propose updated targets for you to approve.
  • Workouts on request. Ask it to build one, save it, and mark it complete when you're done.

Progress

Watch the trend, not the day.

One heavy meal isn't a setback and one good day isn't a win. NexMeal keeps the long view — weigh-ins, weekly averages and projections that show where you're genuinely heading.

  • Weight trend charts with starting, current, change and goal at a glance.
  • Daily grades and calorie history so patterns show up before they cost you weeks.
  • Streaks and reminders for meals, weigh-ins and an evening check-in.

FAQ

Questions, answered

How accurate is the photo scanning?

It's an estimate, and it's meant to be. NexMeal breaks the meal into its individual ingredients and shows you what it found, so you can correct a serving size or a number before logging. For most people an honest estimate logged in five seconds beats a precise one they never enter.

Do I have to take a photo every time?

No. You can photograph the meal, choose an existing photo, describe it by voice, or type it manually — and meals you eat often can be saved to your library and logged again in a tap.

What does the AI coach actually see?

Your logged meals, your activity, your goals, your weight trend and your recent history. That's what lets it recommend a next meal, help you pick from a menu, explain why progress has stalled, or propose new targets — which you approve before anything changes.

Does it work with Apple Health?

Yes, on supported iPhones. With your permission NexMeal reads steps, active energy and workouts, and adjusts your daily calorie budget to match what you've actually done. It's entirely optional.

Is there a free version?

There is. The free version includes a limited number of AI scans and coach messages each day. NexMeal Pro raises those limits and adds ingredient breakdowns, advanced trends, weekly insights, goal projections and report exports.
