Yes. Blocking runs on Apple's Screen Time system, so the apps and categories you choose are genuinely restricted — not just hidden behind a reminder. While you have earned minutes available they open normally; when the balance runs out, they're blocked again.
Your selected apps lock until you earn more. Complete another task and its reward is banked straight away, so the apps open again without any extra setup.
Not usually. Timers bank themselves when the time is up whether the app is open or not, and Apple Health, Calendar, Reminders and Location tasks complete on their own once the condition is met. Background location completion requires Always location access; with a lesser grant, keep LiveFirst open until that access is enabled.
A parent creates a six-digit passcode on the device. While locked, LiveFirst can require it before changing the blocked-app list or adding, editing, deleting, and completing tasks. A successful entry unlocks the controls temporarily; leaving the app relocks them, and five incorrect attempts pause entry for 15 minutes. This is an in-app safeguard on one device, not remote supervision or a replacement for Apple’s device-level parental controls.
Yes — set a daily allowance cap. Once you hit it, extra completed tasks stop adding minutes for that day, so one very productive morning can't turn into a lost evening.
There is. The free version includes two tasks a day, Bronze and Silver rewards, manual completion, timers, app blocking, reminders, repeating tasks, notes, the daily allowance system, passcode protection for the blocked-app list, and parental controls at their default requirements. Pro adds unlimited tasks, Gold rewards, advanced completion methods, and control over which of the four task actions require the parent passcode.
